Our 2-Year Health Guarantee

At Harris Heritage Cavaliers, the health of our puppies is our top priority. Every puppy we breed comes with a written 2-year health guarantee that covers congenital and hereditary conditions.

Health Testing of Our Breeding Dogs

All of our breeding Cavalier King Charles Spaniels undergo comprehensive health testing to ensure we are producing the healthiest puppies possible:

• OFA Heart Certification — Every breeding dog receives an echocardiogram performed by a board-certified veterinary cardiologist to screen for Mitral Valve Disease.
• CERF Eye Examination — Annual eye exams by a veterinary ophthalmologist to check for inherited eye conditions.
• OFA Patella Evaluation — All breeding dogs are evaluated for luxating patella to ensure healthy joints.
• DNA Testing — We test for Curly Coat Dry Eye Syndrome (CCDE) and Episodic Falling Syndrome (EFS) to ensure no affected puppies are produced.

Terms & Conditions

To maintain the validity of the health guarantee, the following conditions must be met:

• The puppy must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of arrival at your home.
• The puppy must receive regular veterinary care, including all recommended vaccinations and preventive treatments.
• The puppy must be fed a high-quality diet appropriate for the breed.
• The puppy must not be bred before 2 years of age without written consent from Harris Heritage Cavaliers.
